One of the most important things I can roar you on makeup is simple in words, but tough to remember in practice: Pound; Don’t Smear. This is especially accurate when trying to get a soft powdery peek when applying foundation. Many Women effect the mistake of smearing on foundation and trying to even out the tone with their hand. More often than not, this results in a makeup line and blotchy coverage. Furthermore, the make up ends up sitting more on the surface of the skin and doesn’t stay on as well throughout the day. When applying your foundation, use an application sponge. Dab the makeup, using a gentle pounding action, slighting pulling the makeup into uncovered spots as you dab. Using this action will serve to even out your skin tones without needing to earn your face feel like there is a layer of clown makeup slapped on to your face as if with a spatula.

Makeup trends are for young girls honest learning how to do their makeup for the first time. For a peer of sophistication and makeup that looks natural, apply makeup to beautify your face rather than to show your agility with makeup. Use browns to make or enhance non-existent or week bony features or to hide fatty places. Use lighter cream colors to brighten areas of darkness, or areas where your natural bony features earn dark shadows that you don’t like. Choose to either make your eyes or your lips the focal point on your face, depending on which you feel is your better feature. Enhance the better of the two features, choosing more neutral tones for the other.

Makeup should not be applied to match clothing. This is one of the biggest mistakes most women make when applying makeup. The purpose of makeup is to enhance natural beauty. When done properly people notice the beauty, not the makeup. When applying makeup, choose colors that work with your skin tone, your witness color and the color of your hair, to compliment your natural beauty. For example, if you have blue eyes, the complimentary color to blue is orange. To invent your eyes pop, you may want to experiment with various amber shades until you find the one that best suits you. If your eyes are green, the complementary color to your eyes will be red. With makeup that can mean anything between very light pink all the way to very deep crimson. Experiment until you find something that works for you.

When selecting colors, remember: There are only three colors in the universe, Red, Yellow, and Blue. All other colors are derived from combining those colors in some fashion. To create a focal point with color, simply use the complimentary color for the shade of color you are attempting to compliment. This is always the opposite ruin of the color spectrum as the base color. For example, the complimentary color of yellow is purple, a mix of the two colors that do not exist in yellow. The complimentary color of blue is orange, and the complimentary color of green is red. Brown is derived from combining all three basic colors, as is black and also white. There are, however some browns that have more orange in them, and other browns that have more purple in them. This is where learning your overall coloration comes in. Do your skin and natural hair color combine to make you an Autumn? A summer? A winter? A spring? If you have never had your colors done, I recommend it. Shades of every color present themselves in nature very differently depending on the season of the year in which they are presented. You don’t believe me? It’s not the color that has changed, but rather how we notice that color based on the season. Each of us has coloring that reflects a season, and if we want our makeup to perceive natural and sophisticated, we will choose colors to compliment our natural beauty that result in the perfect look for us.
